is an unapologetically multilingual blog about translation of poetry in verse or prose from any language into any language, standard or not, with a particular focus on endangered local languages.

The idea is to encourage poetry in translation for the preservation and the promotion of minority languages.

Transferre welcomes comments and feedback and is always looking for new contributors. If you would like to propose a translation from or into an endangered language, please send me a message, or leave a comment here below.

As a monolingual writer in English I am intrigued by this piece: by its patterning on the page—bright chips of agate, malachite, garnet, to be mined from white space. Or, as music notation: staccato notes voiced against the basso continuo of an old, old score.
